Baseball Game Preview: Ware Indians vs. Granby Rams

Ware has gone 9-1 against Granby recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Indians will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Rams at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Ware has eight straight victories, Granby has 12 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Monday, Ware earned a 5-1 win over Frontier Regional.

Meanwhile, Granby came up short against Hampshire Regional on Monday, falling 14-1.

Granby saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brodie Funk, who went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases. Anthony Misiaszek also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Granby's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Ware, they pushed their record up to 4-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Ware has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 6.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Granby struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.

Ware took their win against Granby in their previous matchup two weeks ago by a conclusive 10-0 score. Do the Indians have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rams turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
