Softball Recap: Junction Comes Up Short

Junction lost to Harper on Tuesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Eagles took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Longhorns. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Junction's defeat dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Harper, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Junction will face off against Medina at 5:00 p.m. on the 10th. The Bobcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.08 runs per game on average), something the Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Harper, they will challenge Goldthwaite at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Longhorns' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season.
