Volleyball Recap: Mapletown Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Mapletown lost against Bethlehem Center back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Maples came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 3-0. The Maples have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mapletown was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-8, 25-16.

Treslee Weston paced Mapletown's offense, picking up seven kills. Weston got some help from Marley Shiflett and her ten assists. Shiflett also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Leona Liggett, racking up three apiece.

Mapletown's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Bethlehem Center, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Mapletown will challenge rival Carmichaels at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Bethlehem Center is set to face off against their familiar foe West Greene at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
