New Hope extended their postseason success on Saturday against Kate Duncan Smith DAR. They walked away with a 12-8 victory over the Patriots. The high-scoring effort was just what the Indians needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

Ella Baswell made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits over 5.2 innings pitched. Baswell was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with two runs and two RBI.

In other batting news, New Hope let Alyssa Stapler and Haley Garrison run wild. Stapler went 3-for-4 with three RBI and one double, while Garrison went a perfect 4-for-4 with two RBI and one run. Olivia Harris was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two RBI.

New Hope was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .474. They are 7-2 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

New Hope's win bumped their record up to 18-25-2. As for Kate Duncan Smith DAR, they now have a losing record of 17-18.

Coincidentally, New Hope and Kate Duncan Smith DAR will both be playing North Jackson the next time they take the field. The Patriots will head out to face the Chiefs at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Indians will head out to face them at 2:00 p.m. on Monday.
