Recap: Raceland Rams vs. South Webster Jeeps
The Raceland Rams pushed their score all the way to 58 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 71-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of South Webster. Raceland has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
South Webster's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Eli Roberts led the charge by scoring 32 points along with nine rebounds. The matchup was Roberts' sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jack Timothy, who scored 19 points along with eight rebounds.
Raceland has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. As for South Webster, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.
Raceland will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Powell County at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday. South Webster won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Oak Hill at 7:30 p.m. on December 22nd. Oak Hill will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 556th, while South Webster is ranked 79th).
