The Chaparral Lobos will challenge the Miyamura Patriots at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. Chaparral is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.8 runs per game this season.
Chaparral's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. Everything went their way against Cobre as Chaparral made off with a 22-0 victory. The contest marked the Lobos' most dominant win of the season so far.

Carlos Torres made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out eight batters over 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Chaparral is undefeated when Torres allowsone or fewer hits, but 2-4 otherwise. Torres was also stellar in the batter's box, going 4-for-5 with six RBI, two triples, and one run.
In other batting news, Chaparral got a massive performance out of Justin Castillo, who scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. Robert Ramos was another key player, going 2-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and one double.
Chaparral always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .660. The last time their OBP was this high was back in March of 2024.
Meanwhile, Miyamura can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They walked away with a 7-3 victory over Silver.
Felix Lopez and Marshall Livingston did most of the damage at the plate: Lopez scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances, while Livingston scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-2. Lopez also got a hit, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Sean Torres, who scored a run and stole Three bases. while going 1-for-3.
Miyamura's record now sits at 3-5. As for Chaparral, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Friday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Chaparral hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .331. However, it's not like Miyamura struggles in that department as they've averaged .356. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
