Basketball Game Preview: Ottawa Cyclones vs. Louisburg Wildcats

The Ottawa Cyclones are taking a road trip to take on the Louisburg Wildcats on Friday. Ottawa is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

Last Tuesday, Ottawa came up short against Pittsburg and fell 42-34.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Louisburg). They were the clear victor by a 65-42 margin over Paola on Tuesday. The Wildcats didn't have much to brag about two games back, but this victory makes it their second in a row.

Ottawa's loss dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Louisburg, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 3-10 record this season.

Ottawa beat Louisburg 53-45 in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Ottawa since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
