Baseball Recap: Highland Takes a Loss

Highland fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Marion Harding on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Presidents by a score of 9-8. The Fighting Scots were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Presidents earlier this season, when they won 7-1.

Highland now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Marion Harding, their win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-1.

Highland will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Hillsdale at 5:00 p.m. on the 17th. Marion Harding has already played their next game (against Norwalk), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
