Baseball Recap: Prestonsburg Comes Up Short

The Prestonsburg Blackcats came up short against the Sports Leadership & Management Spartans on Friday, falling 10-2. The Blackcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Prestonsburg saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brody Napier, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Brayden Tussey also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Prestonsburg's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Sports Leadership & Management, their win bumped their record up to 6-13.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Prestonsburg will head out to square off against Betsy Layne at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sports Leadership & Management, they will venture away from home to take on Tampa Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Terrapins will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Spartans surely won't give up without a fight.
