Softball Recap: Chesterfield Comes Up Short

McBee hit Chesterfield with a four-run first inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Golden Rams fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 6-5. The Golden Rams were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Panthers earlier this season, when they won 7-3.

Chesterfield has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-10-1 record this season. As for McBee, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chesterfield will head out to face off against Cheraw at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for McBee, they will take on Central at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
