Basketball Recap: Mt. Vernon Takes a Loss

Mt. Vernon lost against Granville back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Mt. Vernon Yellowjackets took a 50-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Granville Blue Aces. The Yellowjackets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mt. Vernon's defeat dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Granville, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-4.

Coming up, Mt. Vernon will square off against Zanesville at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Mt. Vernon is facing Zanesville at the right time seeing as Zanesville is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Granville, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Whetstone at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
