Recap: Dunellen Destroyers vs. East Brunswick Vo-Tech
In what's become a running theme this season, the Dunellen Destroyers gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They took their match on the road with ease, bagging a 52-24 win over East Brunswick Vo-Tech. The victory was just what Dunellen needed coming off of a 53-11 loss in their prior contest.
Dunellen's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Wendy Woll led the charge by scoring 18 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Emily Chalecki, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Dunellen is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. As for East Brunswick Vo-Tech, they dropped their record down to 1-13 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.
Dunellen will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Sayreville at 4:00 p.m. on February 9th. Dunellen is facing Sayreville at the right time seeing as Sayreville is stuck on a 16-game losing streak. East Brunswick Vo-Tech does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
