Basketball Game Preview: Concordia Cardinals vs. Austin Waldorf Roadrunners

Concordia is 2-8 against Austin Waldorf since November of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Concordia Cardinals will challenge the Austin Waldorf Roadrunners at 7:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Concordia is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their tenth straight game on Saturday. They were dealt an 85-13 defeat at the hands of Hill Country Christian School of Austin. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1607th, while the Knights are ranked 406th).

Meanwhile, Austin Waldorf suffered their biggest loss since February 6, 2024 on Friday. They were beaten by San Marcos HomeSchool 77-46.

Austin Waldorf's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-7. As for Concordia, their loss dropped their record down to 1-11.

Concordia and Austin Waldorf were neck-and-neck in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, but Concordia came up empty-handed after a 42-41 defeat. Can Concordia avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
