Volleyball Recap: Hamilton Beats Pinnacle for Their Third Straight Victory

Hamilton extended their postseason success on Monday against Pinnacle. They blew past the Pioneers 3-0. The victory was nothing new for the Huskies as they're now sitting on three straight.

Hamilton never let Pinnacle on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-18, 25-23.

Hamilton's offense was headlined by Mikayla Haner and Nia Curry, who picked up 13 kills apiece. They got some help from Hailey Johnston and her 21 assists. Haner also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Whitney Pierzga, each putting up two.

Despite the loss, Pinnacle saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kennedy Melashenko had 12 digs. Those 12 digs set a new season-high mark for Melashenko.

Hamilton's record now sits at 28-10. As for Pinnacle, their defeat dropped their record down to 20-14.

Looking ahead, Hamilton will challenge Corona del Sol at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Pinnacle does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
