Basketball Game Preview: Ninety Six Wildcats vs. Batesburg-Leesville Panthers

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Ninety Six Wildcats duke it out with the Batesburg-Leesville Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday... Ninety Six has now lost nine straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since December 28.

Last Friday, Ninety Six was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 45-39 to Pelion.

Despite the loss, Ninety Six saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jamarious Dunlap posted 11 points and three steals. Dunlap has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last ten times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaquarius Dunlap, who had ten points.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Batesburg-Leesville, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They walked away with a 46-34 victory over Strom Thurmond on Friday.

Batesburg-Leesville's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-7. As for Ninety Six, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-15.
