Basketball Recap: Overhills Starts Season with Defeat at Home + How To Watch

Overhills unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Southern Lee Cavaliers by a score of 47-44 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Jaguars have suffered since January 14th.

Despite the loss, Overhills still got an impressive performance from Demelvin Steele, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 11 boards. Zachiah Chalmers was another key player, shooting 56% from the field en route to 10 points and three steals.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Overhills will head out to take on Harnett Central at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Southern Lee, they will venture away from home to face off against Westover at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
