Baseball Recap: Fort Vancouver Gets the Win

After low-scoring totals in their previous three contests, Fort Vancouver brought some dynamite into their most recent match. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Onalaska Loggers 18-16. The win was some much needed relief for the Trappers as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Lincoln Freeman made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He struck out six batters over 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. Freeman was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 1-for-4.

In other batting news, Shayne Quarles was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. That triple marked the first that he hit this season. Another player making a difference was Braden Morgan, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.
