Grundy waltzed into their game on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Tazewell Bulldogs with a sharp 78-53 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 71-68 back in December of 2024.

Grundy has also been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.7 points per game. As for Tazewell, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-6.

The future could be bright for both Grundy and Tazewell: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Grundy will look to extend Council's ten-game losing streak when the meet at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Tazewell will try to hand Marion their third-straight defeat when the two meet at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.
