Softball Recap: California Extends Home Winning Streak to 20

California won the last time they faced Santa Fe and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Condors put the hurt on the Chiefs with a sharp 7-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Condors, who have now won six contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Alexis Salas spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up 11 Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Mia Martinez, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was Jessica Gurule, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

California's victory was their 20th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-6. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.6 runs over those games. As for Santa Fe, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-9.

Coming up, California will look to defend their home field on Thursday against El Rancho at 3:15 p.m. As for Santa Fe, they will be taking part in a tournament against Cajon at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
