St. Brendan won the last time they faced Braddock and things went their way on Thursday too. The Sabres blew past the Bulldogs 53-29. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Sabres.

St. Brendan got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Claudia Luis out in front who posted 11 points and seven boards. Gia Patchen was another key player, putting up seven points in addition to eight rebounds and five steals.

St. Brendan was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Braddock only posted four.

Despite the defeat, Braddock saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Gabriella Hurtado almost dropped a double-double with 20 points and nine boards.

St. Brendan now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Braddock, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, St. Brendan will square off against True North Classical Academy at 2:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Braddock, they will face off against Lourdes Academy at 1:00 p.m. on Monday.
