On Wednesday, Wings Academy had to settle for second even though Emmanuel Nieves put up the best numbers he has all season. Nieves went 8 of 13 en route to 19 points and seven rebounds, good enough to set a new career-high in points in the process. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.

Nieves and Wings Academy will face off against DeWitt Clinton at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Wings had to take a loss when they last met the Governors, but Nieves had little to do with the loss: he posted ten points along with five assists and three steals.
