Volleyball Recap: Lowry Buckaroos vs. Churchill County Greenwave
Lowry was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Churchill County Greenwave. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Greenwave this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in August.
Lowry started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-21, 25-19, 25-18.
Kianna Bazile-Davis paced Lowry's offense, picking up 12 kills. Bazile-Davis got some help from Lexi Hernandez and her 13 assists. Tessa Jenkins controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.
Lowry's loss dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Churchill County, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 14-8.
Coincidentally, Lowry and Churchill County will both be playing Spring Creek the next time they take the court. The Greenwave will head out to face the Spartans at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Buckaroos will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
