            Softball Recap: Frankenmuth Eagles vs. Garber Dukes        
        
		
        
        
            Frankenmuth is still undefeated  this season after their  contest against Garber  on Tuesday, but Garber came as close as anyone has to beating them. The Eagles beat the Dukes by the very same score they won with in their prior game:  8-7. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won  8-7  on Tuesday.

 Chloe Compau was a  major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out 14 batters over  seven innings while giving up just two earned  (and two unearned) runs off   nine  hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  tossed less than eight  strikeouts any time she's  pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box,  going 3-for-4 with one  run.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Bri Barker, who  went 1-for-4 with one  home run.  Mady Goodwin also deserves some recognition as  she  brought in her first  RBI of the season.
 Frankenmuth  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 12  hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Garber only managed six  hits.
Frankenmuth pushed their record up to 6-0 with the  victory, which was their third straight  on the road. The  road  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Garber,  they are  on  a  four-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 8-8.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Frankenmuth will square off against Yale at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Garber, they will take on Mt. Pleasant at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday.
