Softball Recap: Concord Gets the Win

Concord posted their closest win since April 3rd on Saturday. They won by a run and slipped past the Lakeland Lakers 7-6. The Minutemen haven't had any issues with the Lakers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Cassi Reames was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two doubles, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Esmeralda Perez was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs.

Concord's record now sits at 10-7. As for Lakeland, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.

Concord will have a chance to go back-to-back against Lakeland: the pair will be back at it again later today.
