Hopewell is a perfect 6-0 against West Mecklenburg since March of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Titans will welcome the Hawks at 5:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.

On Wednesday, Hopewell made easy work of West Charlotte and carried off a 17-1 win. The Titans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten games by eight runs or more this season.

Hopewell got a massive performance out of Maggie Nelson, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. That's the most hits Nelson has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Samantha Jones, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Hopewell kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. They are 7-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

Meanwhile, West Mecklenburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against North Mecklenburg, falling 31-14. Even if the Hawks couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Hopewell is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.4 runs over those games. As for West Mecklenburg, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-11.

Hopewell took their victory against West Mecklenburg in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 16-0 score. Will the Titans repeat their success, or do the Hawks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
