Volleyball Recap: Sanderson Comes Up Short

Sanderson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Felton Grove Galaxy, falling 3-0. The Spartans were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Galaxy earlier this season, when they won 3-0.

Sanderson was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Felton Grove work for it, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 27-25, 25-23.

When it comes to explaining why Sanderson lost, don't look at Mireya Chavez. Despite the final result, she had 30 digs and four assists. Chavez is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last seven games she's played. Emma Webster also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Sanderson's defeat dropped their record down to 6-16. As for Felton Grove, their win bumped their record up to 6-15.

As of now, neither Sanderson nor the Galaxy have any future games scheduled.
