Softball Game Preview: Iowa City Little Hawks vs. Linn-Mar Lions

The Iowa City Little Hawks will square off against the Linn-Mar Lions at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Iowa City is headed into the game having just suffered their closest loss since July 11, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of Dubuque Senior by a score of 3-1.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Linn-Mar duked it out with Kennedy on Tuesday. The Lions walked away with a 5-1 win over the Cougars.

Iowa City's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Linn-Mar, their victory bumped their record up to 8-1.

Iowa City might still be hurting after the 8-2 loss they got from Linn-Mar in their previous matchup back in June of 2024. Can the Little Hawks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
