The Mount Mercy Academy Magic will head out on the road to square off against the East Aurora Blue Devils at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mount Mercy Academy will be strutting in after a victory while East Aurora will be coming in after a defeat.
While Magic fans will have to keep waiting for their team to come home, they shouldn't be too worried about the road trip considering the result of Thursday's season opener. Everything went their way against Cheektowaga on Thursday as Mount Mercy Academy made off with a 13-5 win.
Taylor Jahn was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out 14 batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. Those 14 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also stellar in the batter's box, firing off two home runs and three runs while going 2-for-4.

Mount Mercy Academy suffered a grim 33-0 defeat to East Aurora in their previous matchup back in April of 2019. Can Mount Mercy Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
