Basketball Recap: Highland Comes Up Short

Highland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Sigourney Savages 77-49. While losing is never fun, the Huskies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 348th, while the Savages are ranked 124th).

Highland's record now sits at 0-10. As for Sigourney, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.

Highland has already played their next match, a 65-18 defeat against Pekin on the 31st. As for Sigourney, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 67-37 win against Belle Plaine on the 28th.
