Basketball Recap: Breaux Bridge Comes Up Short

Breaux Bridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 20th straight loss. They lost to the Livonia Wildcats on the road by a 44-29 margin. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Breaux Bridge's loss dropped their record down to 1-21. As for Livonia, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 8-16.

Breaux Bridge will face off against Cecilia at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Livonia, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Opelousas at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Opelousas will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Livonia surely won't give up without a fight.
