The Highland Park Hornets lost 19-11 to the Dimmitt Bobcats on Tuesday. Even though they lost, the Hornets' still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.2 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

Highland Park saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaitlin Lucas, who scored three runs while going 2-for-4. That's the most runs Lucas has posted over her last 12 games.

This is the second loss in a row for Highland Park and nudges their season record down to 3-9-1. That patch can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Dimmitt, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-6-1.
