Wichita Defenders HomeSchool is still winless after their game against Kansas City East Christian Academy on Saturday, but the team can take solace in the fact it was the closest they've come to winning. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost an 8-6 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lions. On the bright side, the six- run performance marked the Defenders' highest-scoring contest to date.

Wichita Defenders HomeSchool's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Kansas City East Christian Academy, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 6-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wichita Defenders HomeSchool will face off against Sunrise Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Kansas City East Christian Academy, they will square off against Bishop Miege at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
