Basketball Recap: IDEA Edinburg College Prep Extends Winning Streak to Three

If IDEA College Prep wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played IDEA Edinburg College Prep, they should've done a better job of containing Gael Gama. IDEA Edinburg College Prep came out on top against the IDEA College Prep Griffins by a score of 36-27 on Friday thanks in part to Gama, who posted 17 points in addition to six rebounds and six steals. He has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last eight times he's played.

The victory was the third in a row for IDEA Edinburg College Prep, bringing their record for this year to 10-6. As for IDEA College Prep, their defeat was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. IDEA Edinburg College Prep will venture away from home to square off against IDEA North Mission at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for IDEA College Prep, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on South Texas Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on December 19th.
