Baseball Recap: Lancaster County Christian Comes Up Short

Lancaster County Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the High Point Baptist Academy Eagles, falling 15-9. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Lancaster County Christian saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chase Zimmerman, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those doubles marked the first that Zimmerman hit this season. Another was Landon Eby, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Lancaster County Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for High Point Baptist Academy, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Lancaster County Christian will face off against rival West Shore Christian Academy at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, High Point Baptist Academy is set to take on their familiar foe Coventry Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
