Softball Recap: Garnet Valley's Losing Streak Snapped at Six Games

Garnet Valley had to endure a six-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They had just enough and edged out the Cardinal O'Hara Lions 3-2. The Jaguars have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Lions on Monday, too.

Ashlyn Thompson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on six hits and racked up six Ks. Those hits marked the first that she allowed this season.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Zoey Rogers, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. She also brought in two RBI, marking her first of the season.
