Basketball Recap: Bishop DuBourg Comes Up Short

Bishop DuBourg was the 44-23 winner over Crystal City when they last played one another back in November of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Bishop DuBourg Cavaliers lost to the Crystal City Hornets on the road by a 54-36 margin on Friday. The Cavaliers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Crystal City's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Molly Reiter led the charge by going 8 of 14 en route to 22 points and six boards. The dominant performance gave Reiter a new career-high in rebounds. Maya Hankins was another key player, dropping a double-double on 11 points and ten boards.

Bishop DuBourg's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Crystal City, their victory bumped their record up to 9-7.
