Basketball Recap: Eastland Comes Up Short

Eastland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Peaster Greyhounds and fell 72-31. While losing is never fun, the Mavericks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1524th, while the Greyhounds are ranked 529th).

Eastland's loss dropped their record down to 3-23. As for Peaster, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 23-9 record this season.

Coming up, Eastland will host Comanche at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Peaster, they are taking a road trip to take on Early at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
