Eaton and Bennett squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Eaton had to settle for second. They took a 61-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bennett Tigers. The Reds' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Several Reds players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Andrew Loyd, who posted 14 points in addition to six assists and five rebounds. That's the most points Loyd has posted since back in December of 2023. Austin Crider was another key player, dropping a double-double with 16 points and ten boards.

Even though they lost, Eaton smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 11 consecutive contests.

It was another big night for Owen Stiers, who shot 47% from the field on his way to 25 points along with five assists and three steals for Bennett. The matchup was Stiers' third in a row with at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Jayden Ivory, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds.

Eaton's loss dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Bennett, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 14 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season.

Eaton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bennett, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 91-52 defeat against Kent Denver on the 8th.
