Soccer Recap: EPIC Academy Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for EPIC Academy's offense. They came up short against the Northside Mustangs on Thursday, falling 7-0. While losing is never fun, EPIC Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 224th, while Northside are ranked 103rd).

EPIC Academy has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season. As for Northside, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1.

Coming up, EPIC Academy will face off against Brooks at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Northside, they will take on Westmont at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
