Soccer Recap: Marquez Comes Up Short

After some red-hot attacks on offense in their last three contests, Marquez finally came back down to earth on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to the Sonora Raiders. The shutout was out of character for the Gladiators seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in December of 2024.

Marquez dropped their record down to 6-5-5 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Sonora, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5-4 record this season.

Marquez will face off against Torres at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Torres' last four games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. Sonora does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
