Football Recap: El Camino Real's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Four

El Camino Real had won three straight games and Takia Campbell did his part to make it four on Thursday. The Royals claimed a resounding 28-0 win over the Taft Toreadors for which the team can thank Campbell, who rushed for 179 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.4 yards per carry. He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 53 yards.

El Camino Real didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut AJ Gupta.

El Camino Real's record now sits at 6-4. As for Taft, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 6-4.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. El Camino Real will welcome Dorsey at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Dons will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last. As for Taft, they will face off against Eagle Rock at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
