Bellwood-Antis added to the longest winning streak in Inter-County - Gold this week by beating Northern Bedford County, 42-14. The victory was the seventh in a row for the team.
Bellwood-Antis scaled the state rankings by moving to 194 from 222 this week, the biggest jump in the league. John Hayes' team climbed the ranks as a result of defeating the Panthers 42-14.
Blake Over provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Northern Bedford County lost to the Blue Devils. He completed 14 passes for 145 yards and also ran for 91 yards. Over's favorite target this week was Kyler Diehl, who caught 6 passes for 73 yards.
Diehl was the best receiver in the league this week as Jeff Batzel's team fell to Bellwood-Antis. Diehl tallied 6 receptions for 73 yards. Austin Heck helped Northern Bedford County's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 39 yards.
The Panthers' Over and Jacob Dasher have formed a dream team this season, leading Inter-County - Gold in both passing and receiving yards. 6-5 quarterback Over has thrown for 1,810 yards this season, while Dasher has 46 catches for 689 yards. Casey Gray from the Blue Devils leads the league in rushing with 1,041 yards.
Kris Smeal of the West Branch is just 65 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 181 carries Smeal has accumulated 935 yard this year.
Going into this week's contest against Williamsburg, Northern Bedford County's Over needs 190 passing yards to surpass 2,000 on the season.
The Warriors lost to Mt. Union 59-13 last week, the largest margin of any game.
