Softball Recap: Lewisburg Takes a Loss

Lewisburg fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Hernando on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 7-4 to the Tigers. The Patriots were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Anna Etter made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Kara Walker, who went 3-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Lewisburg's record now sits at 15-11. As for Hernando, they pushed their record up to 22-1 with the win, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Hernando will welcome Horn Lake at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Lewisburg will be paying especially close attention to the Tigers' contest: after the Tigers faces off against the Eagles, they'll take on Lewisburg again at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
