Volleyball Recap: Illinois Math & Science Academy Takes a Loss

Illinois Math & Science Academy lost against Parkview Christian Academy on Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Titans fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 2-1.

Enza Ristic paced Illinois Math & Science Academy's offense, picking up nine kills. Ristic got some help from Fiza Shaikh and her 16 assists. Finally, Kateryna Honchar kept Illinois Math & Science Academy's defense grounded, leading the team with eight blocks.

Parkview Christian Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lilah Carlyle, who had 16 assists and three aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Kendra Mersman, who had seven digs and three assists.

Illinois Math & Science Academy now has a losing record of 4-5-1. As for Parkview Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 5-8.

Illinois Math & Science Academy has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Willows Academy on the 6th. As for Parkview Christian Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against North Shore Country Day on the 6th.
