If Magoffin County wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Johnson Central, they should've done a better job of containing Brayden Shepherd. The Johnson Central Golden Eagles simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat the Magoffin County Hornets 78-51 with plenty of help from Shepherd, who en route to 28 points and four steals. His evening made it ten games in a row in which he has scored at least 18 points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Kyle Rose, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 12 boards. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 8 rebounds per game.

Johnson Central has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 83.8 points over those games. Magoffin County's loss was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-21.

Looking ahead, Johnson Central will face off against Martin County at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Magoffin County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
