Basketball Game Preview: Posen Vikings vs. Harbor Light Christian Swordsmen

The Posen Vikings are taking a road trip to challenge the Harbor Light Christian Swordsmen at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Posen will be strutting in after a win while Harbor Light Christian will be coming in after a loss.

Posen took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 47-31 victory over Hale. The win continues a trend for the Vikings in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won three in a row.

Meanwhile, Harbor Light Christian entered their contest against Traverse City Christian on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Harbor Light Christian received a blow as they fell 61-44 to Traverse City Christian. While losing is never fun, the Swordsmen can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 250th, while the Sabres are ranked 122nd).

This is the second loss in a row for Harbor Light Christian and nudges their season record down to 14-4. As for Posen, their victory bumped their record up to 5-12.

Everything came up roses for Posen against Harbor Light Christian in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, as the squad secured a 70-32 win. Will Posen repeat their success, or does Harbor Light Christian have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
