Baseball Game Preview: Greens Farms Academy Dragons vs. Brunswick School Bruins

Greens Farms Academy is 0-4 against Brunswick School since April of 2022 but things could change on Tuesday. The Dragons will challenge the Bruins at 4:15 p.m. Greens Farms Academy will be strutting in after a win while Brunswick School will be coming in after a defeat.

Greens Farms Academy is headed into the game having just posted their closest victory since April 6, 2024 on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Greenwich Country Day 5-4. The game was the first time the Dragons have beaten the Tigers on their field since May 4, 2022.

Mo Hood made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two doubles, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high.

Meanwhile, Brunswick School didn't have quite enough to beat Poly Prep Country Day on Monday and fell 2-1.

Brunswick School's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Greens Farms Academy, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-7.

Greens Farms Academy suffered a grim 11-5 defeat to Brunswick School when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Dragons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
