Baseball Recap: Galway Comes Up Short

After flying high against Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons on Wednesday, Galway came back down to earth. The Golden Eagles lost 17-5 to the Johnstown Sir Bills on Friday.

Galway dropped their record down to 5-6 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Johnstown, their win bumped their record up to 9-3.

Looking ahead, Galway will square off against Waterford-Halfmoon at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Golden Eagles are facing the Fordians at the right time seeing as the Fordians are stuck on an 11-game losing streak. As for Johnstown, they will be playing at home against Duanesburg at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Sir Bills' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 8.5 runs per game this season.
