Foley lost to Bayshore Christian on Saturday, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Foley Lions narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Bayshore Christian Eagles 6-5.

Connor Laughery spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered five runs (all of which were unearned) on four hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Foley saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was William Quarles, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Another was Austin Heiden, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

Foley has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. Bayshore Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Looking ahead, Foley will take on Bryant at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Bayshore Christian, they will square off against Gulf Shores at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bayshore Christian will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
