Softball Recap: Phelps Takes a Loss

Phelps was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against the Paintsville Tigers, falling 24-9. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Hornets of the 20-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2021.

Phelps' loss dropped their record down to 0-9-1. As for Paintsville, their win bumped their record up to 3-5.

Coincidentally, Phelps and Paintsville will both be playing Magoffin County the next time they take the field. The Hornets will head out to face the Hornets at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Tigers will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
